Confirmation - High School

Confirmation for Youth (Grades 9 -10 +)

In the past, in the Archdiocese of Atlanta, the normal age to celebrate the Sacrament of Confirmation was 10th grade.  However, the Archdiocese is moving to lower that age over the next few years.   

In 2026-27, we will begin enrolling 9th and 10 graders into the Confirmation program.   Which means Confirmation preparation will now begin in the 7th Grade.  All 7-8th graders must attend PSR or an Archdiocesan approved school to be on track to celebrate the sacrament in the 9th-10th grade. Candidates who missed previous sacraments may need additional preparation.   

To be eligible For High School students to enroll in this program, a Baptismal Certificate (with notations of First Communion) is required. 
You can easily obtain this by contacting the Catholic Church where the student was baptized.  If your child was baptized or received First Communion at St. Stephen the Martyr Church, we have the records on file.

Mandatory Parent and Student Meeting: Sunday, August 16, 2026, from 9:40-10:50am in the St. Padre Pio Room.

             Confirmation Sessions begin on Sunday, August 23, 2026, from 9:40-10:50am in the St. Padre Pio Room.
